Recycle and Reuse!

We’re getting ready to go into our winter ‘hibernation’ season at the CWPZoo.  There are always tools, food, buckets, and much more that the Zoo could use to get through the season.  Please take the time to check out our list, maybe there are some items you might have laying around that you’d want to recycle!  We appreciate the donations everyone gives us throughout the year, we couldn’t do it without them!   Thanks again for remembering us and please keep in mind that there is practically nothing we cannot recycle here at the zoo.

There is practically nothing we cannot recycle here at Catoctin Wildlife preserve and Zoo. For example, the Russ Swatek family of Columbia, Maryland donated the recycled boards off their newly renovated deck. We built a boardwalk in the wetlands area and the frame of the our Australian Aviary.

Think of us for your gently used equipment, computers and tools. Bring an extra can of vegetables or fruit for our keepers to mix with the dry kibble. Donate the perfume or cologne you never really wear – we create scent games to enrich the animal’s day.
