Have you met Rocket?

Zoo’s new Reticulated Giraffe is here to stay.

Have you meet him yet?

Members and FB fans of Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo first met our 2 year old, 12 foot tall giraffe named “Rocket” during a special fundraiser late summer, 2011. Rocket is very comfortable around humans, especially if they are bringing him some bamboo to eat, his favorite treat. Thanks to our Members and FB fans of Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo were able to raise enough, so that Rocket the Giraffe now has a permanent home here. So what are you waiting for…?
