May – June 2013
Hey kids! Can you leap like a lemur, kick like a donkey or stretch like a giraffe? Find out at the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo’s 3rd annual Wild Walk and Fitness Safari on Saturday, May 4th from noon-3 and win prizes and a FREE pass to visit the zoo again.
Try various fitness activities spread out along a 1k path, while exploring the zoo’s 25- acre wooded park. Participants will **ALSO** enjoy 600 animals from 6 continents of the world, a wildlife stage presentation and keeper encounters as well as other kid-friendly activities.
Find out all about volunteering at the zoo. Are you between 13-113 years of age? Don’t mind getting dirty? Do you have good communication skills and accept responsibility? Then let’s talk! We’ll talk about what roles volunteers play at CWPZoo. Reservations are required.
The Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo is unusual among the mid-Atlantic area zoos as the only one with an escorted truck (ride through) safari.
